About

I was tired of feeling guilty about not doing the basic preventative wellness tasks I knew my three dogs needed–especially trimming their nails.

Like most dog owners, I thought of my dogs as part of the family, but as a busy young professional there was always a convenient excuse to avoid the dreaded task. Plus I always put it off because I felt like my dogs hated it and was terrified I’d hurt them in the process.

I looked at mobile groomers, grooming salons and other services but they only offered this critical service with a bunch of other stuff that my large-breed, short-haired dog didn’t need. I love my vet, but I know my dog’s nails should be trimmed every month rather than once a year.

I lost my job at a major tech startup in Atlanta as a result of COVID-19, and decided to use my technology and startup experience to create a simple, convenient way to give real dog owners the regular non-vet care that their companions need.

Why Atlanta Dog Nail Trim

If you have a dog that doesn’t need traditional frou frou grooming but you worry about your dog not getting the regular care it needs, then you’re not alone. Many dogs don’t need their hair cut or the often unnecessary services (you wanna do what to my dog’s anal glands?!) that many groomers offer.

However, untrimmed nails can lead to feelings of guilt and shame for you, pain for your dog and expensive visits to the vet or emergency clinic.

  • 77% of dog owners rank nail cutting as their number one or number two source of stress and anxiety when it comes to dog ownership.
  • Untrimmed nails can lead to painful feet, injury and arthritis. It makes it difficult to jump in cars, climb stairs and even hard to get up from lying down.
  • At least 35% of millennial dog owners fear that they will be judged by their vet.
  • The ASPCA says that If your pet’s nails are clicking or getting snagged on the floor, it’s time for a trim. For most dogs this means every 3-4 weeks.
